This is an outstanding restaurant in any city but for Truro it heralds a great future, the food is superb, its spread over two floors and beautifully decorated, quite contemporary. We have been for lunch four times now and heartily recommend it to any one, we would like to go at night but live too far away, drinks and driving etc. You lucky Truronians, this deserves to be packed out every day
Chantek Thai and South East Asian Restaurant – TruroThis is the best food I've had in Cornwall and can compete with any of London's top restaurants. Also one of the best views in Cornwall. The menu is creative, with impeccable quality and attention to detail. Staff are polished and attentive. Although quite pricey, its still represents good value relative to the standard of cuisine. This is the real deal.
Driftwood Hotel – TruroGreat location with sea views. Food was good quality. The staff need to be improved. Not very attentive at times and a bit robotic. Price is not cheap, but nor should it be. Its well worth a visit.
Quarterdeck Restaurant @ The Nare Hotel – TruroThe menu is a bit ambitious, but the food was good. Staff are attentive. Spoiled by the smoky atmosphere and 'not very nice' toilets (which I believe are to be upgraded shortly).
Mannings – TruroThis is the best Chinese restaurant in Cornwall. The food is always superb and the service excellent. Worth every penny.
Eastern Promise – TruroHave had many take-aways and a few sit down meals and in every case the food was excellent. Truro has been looking for a restaurant of this style for years and finally it has arrived. Not only is the menu extensive but also very reasonably priced. Well worth a visit a place not to be missed by lovers of fine food.
Chantek Thai and South East Asian Restaurant – TruroThis place is well worth a visit and does take-away too. A lovely atmosphere, an extensive menu for both food and drinks and our food arrived in no time. I'll definitely be returning.
Chantek Thai and South East Asian Restaurant – TruroBoth being vegans, we wanted to see what Chantek had to offer us. The menu seemed to offer a wide range of vegetarian options, so it would seem a good chance that the vegan options would be good. Initially we were told that none of the dishes were vegan but when pushed, one of the front of house staff went to question the chefs. He returned to tell us that pretty much any of the vegetarian options could be made vegan. So after an initial struggle, we had a very tasty and healthy meal that we would highly recommend. They left out the Soya sauce though because they said it was made from fish! (Funny that because we thought it was made from Soya beans!).

The restaurant can cope with group bookings, and copes just as well with intimate bookings for two too !! The service was excellent, and we were made to feel very welcome in this modern very smart restaurant

Shanaz – TruroHaving eaten there several times I am always impressed. We had a table for 10, we were all satiated and didn't send any overs back to the kitchen--unheard of for a chinese--the set menu is awesome. Will be going back this week with another party of 10. Well worth the price and a visit.
Eastern Promise – TruroI have not yet eaten here but as a vegetarian, there is nothing very Xen about it as the veggie options are ridiculously minimal. The only real choice is vegetables in oyster sauce (?!) - One with rice, then later mentioned but with noodles. The place looks fantastic and I am sure the food is great but WE NEED MORE VEGETARIAN OPTIONS!!!!

Xen Noodle Bar – TruroWe got married at Alverton Manor Hotel this month and can honestly say that it was the best day of our lives. The food was superb and the service impeccable. The restaurant is excellent and extremely good value for money and they use locally sourced food where possible. The staff are friendly, professional and nothing is too much trouble. A fantastic place to eat. Bookings definately necessary.
Alverton Hotel – TruroA great little Italian restaurant. The food is fantastic and the waiters/waitresses are polite and helpful. There can be a reasonable wait for food when they are busy though and I'm disappointed that they do not appear to take advanced bookings for less than 10 people. Still well worth a visit though.
