Had fillet steak done medium rare food good atmosphere pleasant
Bird In Hand – UrmstonLove coming here and it's well worth the travel if you don't live in the area. As a vegan it's a godsend to have a menu I can choose exciting food from and the service is always friendly.
Isinglass – Urmstoni love the empire, their aromatic ducks are gorgeous
Empire – UrmstonGood food, good service, with totally separate smoking & non-smoking areas.
Pond Quay Restaurant – UrmstonOur first visit was very enjoyable, with good food served in a relaxed, friendly way. We will certainly be going again and look forward to taking friends when they are visiting Manchester.
Isinglass – UrmstonOne of those restaurants which you can return to time and time again knowing that the same high standards will be maintained
Deccan Restaurant – UrmstonLast week was my first visit to Isinglass and it will not be the last. I had the corn beef hash as the starter (awesome) followed by grilled organic chicken in honey and mustard glaze with chunky chips. This is the first time I have been able to taste chicken and not some watery white meat at a restaurant, the food and taste is just excellent. Simple local food cooked well, I cannot recommend it highly enough. The decor of the restaurant is relaxed, the tunes are cool chill out and will not offend people over 50 (like my mum and dad) We arrived at 7pm on a cold Friday evening, when we left at 9pm, the place was full of people of all ages but linked by a common theme. This is a place for people who like real local food and food with real taste. I cannot recommend this highly enough!
Isinglass – Urmstonfood is great, nice relaxed feel to the place
The Italian Job Restaurant – UrmstonVery, very nice. A disco upstairs later on for those wanting to make a night of it.
San Giovanni – UrmstonMyself and some friends went to try this new eatery for Sunday lunch as there really isn't anywhere in this area that you would recommend. The menu was limited but consisted of salmon, holly tree lamb and a risotto. There were 2 choices of soup but we were then informed that they had only one portion of apple and carrot, so we had the other choice as well - they were both excellent!! We all opted for the lamb which was accompanied by roast vegetables and yummy roast potatoes - again we all agreed it was delicious!! As for pudding I did not partake but my friends did it was apple and pear crumble with Cheshire farm vanilla ice cream - you could actually taste the vanilla pods - We were all unanimous - We will definitely be going back and also recommend it to all our friends. Well done!!!!!
Isinglass – UrmstonDinning at Isinglass on Saturday was a very nice experience. It is the only decent restaurant in our local area and the price is excellent. Six of us dined for just over £30 each, which was 3 courses and 5 bottles of wine. Two complaints;- There was only 1 bottle of the Rijoa left at 8.45pm and one of the chairs at our table had a broken leg, and when getting up to go to the toilet the seat of the chair stuck to my skirt and had to be peeled off!!! So a few newer chairs wouldn? go amiss.
Isinglass – UrmstonI'm a regular at the Empire and it's a very pleasant experience with a relaxed atmosphere. Excellent service and food, their Hot and Sour soups are to die for!!!
Empire – Urmstonvery nice indeed. Definitely planning to go back to sample more of the dishes.
San Giovanni – UrmstonVery nice service. Nice surroundings. Everyone? food, both starters and main courses were excellent without exception, which cannot always be said in all restaurants. Very authentic.
San Giovanni – UrmstonAttended the Italian Job on numerous occasions and food has always been highly satisfactory. At weekend upstaits they do a very reasonably priced fixed menu and a disco. Ideal for a birthday or other night out.
The Italian Job Restaurant – UrmstonIt was all good at the end.
Standard Indian Restaurant – UrmstonThe food was ok, but the service could have been better
Pond Quay Restaurant – UrmstonI first went to Lams Cottage for my 21st birthday. I have never seen such service. Quick, yet I could tell they had taken the time to prepare my meal properly, and the Hot Ors D'Euvre are devine. If you like Chinese Food, then Lams Cottage is for you with food to die for and service that is second to none!
