In my opinion this is by far the worst restaurant in Wakefield, the Sunday buffet is very poor, the main course and starters for the buffet are the same as each other. Save your money

Pagoda Cantonese Restaurant – WakefieldWith friends we decided to give this place a go one Friday night. Whilst they do not take bookings they do pt your name on the list then tell you how long your table will be. We were on the list and told that the table will not be free until 9pm. This was 7.30 so we went for a drink in the Green Rooms over the road, when we came back it was 8.40 i told the lady that we were back and she found our name on the list then told me that we would have to wait at least another hour to be seated. NOT IMPRESSED Save your money they are total time wasters we ended up at Frankie and Benny's
Rinaldis – Wakefieldgood food, good service, good beer, good value, what more do you need in a pub.
Plough Inn, The – WakefieldI visit the restaurant at least once a week. Food excellent and nothing is too much trouble if you request something not on the menu as I frequently do it is not a problem. They serve Italian wines and beer very authentic Italian food, waiters and waitresses are a delight as are the owner and his family. Highly recommend an absolute gastronomic delight.
Capri Horbury – WakefieldHad a meal for my girl friends 40th, so we had a girlie night out, lovely pub, good service and lovely food, we had a lovely night thanks
Black Bull – WakefieldWhen full it's quicker to fly to Rome and get a pizza - walked out due to the long wait, after drinking a liter of water, a beer and eating a starter and my main still did not turn up. Staff seemed uninterested in my complaint. I would not go to this restaurant again - I used to go often and even went first week of opening - but service is so poor now.
Prego Pizzeria – WakefieldThe Golden Lion Hotel now has a traditional fish and chip restaurant serving fish and chips done in beef dripping, we had the Jumbo fish and chips very reasonably priced and quite delicious, they also do a nice variety of food if you don't want fish. We also went back on the Sunday to have their Carvery we had the choice of Honey Roast Ham, Turkey Crown, Roast Pork and Beef, we couldn't decide which to have and the carver let us have a slice of everything. It was one of the best carveries I have ever had. Well worth a visit if you r passing through.
Golden Lion Hotel – WakefieldA fantastic evening out i love coming here, i try a different dish every time and i have never even being close to disappointed!! Lamb shanks is always a fav, but tonight i had the fishcakes, outstanding cant wait to have them again, service is great too, the best for miles around!!
The Red Kite – WakefieldWe have been to Rustico several times now and I cant speak highly enough of the quality of food and service. Its the type of place you would return to time and time again and never be disappointed. I personally love the vast array of seafood on offer, but whatever you choose to eat, its delicious! A word of warning though, the complimentary bread and dips are delicious, and rather filling! You have to be a strong person to resist!!
Rustico – WakefieldWould never go here again. We went at a Sunday lunchtime for my mums 60th birthday with three children aged 9, 7 and 2. The children were very well behaved, the food took absolutely ages to arrive and when it did my mum (who never complains about anything) said that her scampi did not taste quite right. We mentioned this to a member of staff who brought the manageress over. She very abruptly whipped the plate out from under my mums nose told us rudely that there was nothing wrong with the food. When my sister asked her if she could not be so abrupt, she accused us of wanting the food for free and told us that our children had been causing havoc, this was not true and we were extremely upset and embarrassed by her behaviour, we decided to leave straight away without even eating the food. We offered to pay for the drinks we had drunk but she refused and accused us of wanting the food for free. The woman was unbelievable and I would warn other customers never to go there, or if you do, don't dare to criticise the food
British Oak Inn – WakefieldIndian food as good as the best I have had anywhere in the country, we eat here at least twice a month for 3 years now and it is consistently very good food ,excellent service, but more than that unbelievable value for money. We eat here with our two boys who love it and are always very well looked after by the staff, there's a good children's menu or they will do a children's portion from the main menu. Give it a try you won't be disappointed.
Red Chilli II – WakefieldCRACKING PUB FOOD! Definitely worth a visit. 10/10
Black Bull – Wakefieldthe pizzas at prego are really good also so is the pasta i thoroughly enjoy it there and the plates are really clean well done to the porters
Prego Pizzeria – Wakefield10 out of 10. Good pub food, in a clean and lovely pun environment. The place is lovely and spotlessly clean, the service was crisp and correct amount of attentive the food was lovely. Ate on a Monday night and the place was thriving. Definitely coming again, probably this weekend.
Black Bull – WakefieldJust had a meal, and was lovely. Was my mums b'day party and we turned all 25 of us and we were treat really well. The pub was actually quite busy, but they coped well and all our food arrived at the same time. I had delicious barnsley chops. Yummy indeed, most of the party went for the 'all you can eat' carvery which I am told was lovely.
Black Bull – Wakefieldits disgusting
Rhubarb Triangle Brewers Fayre – WakefieldThe quality and quantity were exceptional, and very well presented. Have been back a few times since, nothing has changed. Well worth a visit.
