Red Chilli II – Wakefieldpate delicious but at £4 75p for a very small portion plus toast too expensive. Staff helpful
The Red Kite – WakefieldThis The Pagoda in Wakefield, a Chinese Restaurant is the very best we have ever visited, the service is A1, the choice on the menu is extensive, the staff are more than attentive, the surroundings are very oriental as is the background subtle music. The whole package is extremely favourable. There is no surcharge, the food is cooked to a very good standard, the staff are friendly, polite and we feel like one of the family whenever we visit this restaurant, The Pagoda. The fish pond inside the restaurant is a nice touch too. Every time my husband and myself have been, the toilets are ALWAYS pristine clean. We have NEVER had upset stomachs after eating and drinking at this fab place. We feel like one of the family. They have a free car park just outside the place, if it is full, never fear as you can always park in Aldi car park right next to the Pagoda itself, PERFECTO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pagoda Cantonese Restaurant – WakefieldOne off the best meals we have tried. Been eating Indian for 20 years and we have found Red Chilli one off the best. keep up the good work. See u next year. We came all the way from Jersey.
Red Chilli II – WakefieldHad the complete misfortune to call here for lunch one day...If you are Vegetarian..just forget it! The staff think that being a vegetarian means that you will still eat fish! They did have an old mouldy vegetable kiev lurking about in the freezer that was left from when it was on the old menu..but we declined that kind offer! We settled for mushroom soup which didn't taste of mushrooms at all but of bovril!,,then apple and blackberry crumble which was served upside down...we weren't sure if they were trying to do things differently here..but I don't think we were that lucky..they just couldn't be bothered to get it on the dish the right way up! The coke we had to drink was flat!..and we wondered why the carpark was empty! NEVER AGAIN!
Black Bull – WakefieldThe rumours about "Rustico" buying Bella Roma out have proved to be true after all. The last twice I & my wife have been there the usual owners were not about, and things have been deteriorating. The Creme Brulee was not caramelised on one occasion, the roast potatoes had been re-heated & were slushy & greasy, the fruit crumble has been removed from the menu, and the service has got slower. The waitresses seem to be disorganised and running about, on 2 occasions banging into my wife's chair whilst she was eating. I have praised Bella Roma on this & other review sites many times, and recommended you to many people. I'm afraid that after almost 20 years it's time to try elsewhere.
Bella Roma – WakefieldThe best Indian EVER! superb food, atmosphere and such friendly staff....! we go at least 3 times a month...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Cinnamon Lounge – WakefieldThe Red Kite has changed over the years and is now a pale shadow of its former self. I now find it difficult to pick anything I would like to eat from the menu, the food when it comes is never cooked to perfection, usually the meat is over done, and you can find it difficult to cut your chicken with the tired cutlery provided. Even the tasting platter has lost its edge. I was particularly disappointed with the piri piri sauce, so hot I couldn't eat it. With the under cooked hand cut chips, the token garden peas, the hard tomato, supposedly cooked, the meal was barely edible. I won't be going back!
The Red Kite – WakefieldExcellent meal on route back to Shropshire from Scarborough. Met son in this pub as he lives in Leeds and a mate recommended it to him. Unfortunately my husband left his reading glasses on the table so we telephoned after we had already got onto motorway and very kindly they were posted back to us. So many thanks to whom it may concern. Great pub. ,
British Oak Inn – Wakefieldbeing American i can be pretty choosie at times. this happens to be my favorite restaurant/pub in the area.the food is excellent and the people are wonderful.the best part is of course the atmosphere, where i come from that's always the main thing. as a matter of fact going there tonight for tea.not a better place to be, in the snow!!!

Plough Inn, The – WakefieldSandal Aagrah has a cosy atmosphere, friendly staff and wonderful food, of which there is a very wide variety. Dishes of different strengths, dishes that you can ask to be made slightly differently to a particular taste. Highly Recommended.
Aagrah Restaurant – WakefieldSammys is the best curry house in the UK - never ever been disappointed. Lively, friendly atmosphere, lots of regulars, special occasion group, people from all walks of life. Lovely staff, wonderful food, and no corkage charge - can't go wrong.
Samarkand – Wakefielduse this as my local takeaway even though w are in barnsley, we ate here just before xmas and it was up to its usual high standards. however we have noticed over the last few months that the portions are getting smaller, the quality is always very good but the Wakefield aagrah need to look at the amount of curry they are serving.....
Aagrah Restaurant – WakefieldYou must try this the food is great and the price is right we had the Christmas lunch but some of our friends had steak which they said it was so tender cost 17.95 for three course was the 17.95 we have spent on are Christmas dinner out

Balti House – WakefieldI have visited Valentino's on a number of occasions with my Partner and family. I have found the food to be fresh, cooked, presented, and prepared to a very high standard, I have never had a bad meal at Valentinos. There has always been a huge choice of dishes available. I have found the staff to be friendly, welcoming and always eager to please. I would recommend Valentinos and advise people to book in advance as it can get very busy on Fridays and Saturdays.
