Lovely welcome, great landlady. Great pub and karaoke on a saturday night.

My Mum and Dad and I stayed at this hotel in May 2012 for one night and we couldn't fault the food. It was 'pub food' expertly cooked. We had Roast dinner which is what they do on a Sunday. Then my Dad had Apple crumble pie and I had ginger sponge, both were delicious. They are a hotel so they also do B&B, so we experienced the full English breakfast too, which again was just what you would expect and expertly cooked.

great food, great service, great price. We stopped here on the way to Pwllheli having picked the Red Lion off the internet, and made our choice based on good reviews. We enjoyed the meal so much that we stopped there on the way back to Gloucester. No hesitation in recommending the Red Lion to other travellers on the A458.

I recommend you try the vegan and vegetarian food on offer here, as Karen the host, is a home made food expert keen to offer good interesting meals to vegans and vegetarians too, very generous portions and very tasty. I've had Red Thai Fishless Cakes with salad and mixed rice, and it was lovely. The main fare is traditional pub food but seasonal and all home made from scratch.

You wouldn`t give this place a second look, but once you`re inside and past that shop front facade you soon realise how wrong that first impression was. The welcome, food and service are beyond reproach what a wonderful evening and quite by accident. This restaurant serves great Indian cuisine
