Great pizzas!
The Pizza Parlour – WavertreeI was lucky enough to win a meal for four people which we had last Saturday evening. As we arrived we were warmly greeted by Christakis Georgiou and shown to our table straight away. We were advised to choose the meze which was amazing value at £17.50 per person. The dishes kept on coming out, dips of tzatziki, houmous, tahini, taramosalata, tomato and beans, bread, Greek and potoato salad. Then haloumi, lountza, lucanica (ham and sausage) and grilled mushroom followed by Greek meatballs and dolmade. We asked for a break at this point to make sure we could manage the rest of the meal. We then had Kalamari and grilled prawns and finally lamb chops, chicken and pork kebabs with chips. We had a nice red merlot hutch went down a treat with the meal. During the evening the waiters were friendly, efficient and nothing was any trouble and they thoroughly looked after us even though there were three large parties in the room. The entertainment started off with a lovely young lady belly dancer who what excellent, and had the diners joining her to try belly dancing. After that we had a waiter who did Greek dancing and had even more people with him on the dance floor. This was followed by a disco. It was a great evening and we really enjoyed it. It’s a really fun place and a great venue for celebrations. I would certainly go again.
One of the best steaks I have ever had! succulent, juicy, extremely tender, lightly salted with a lovely hint of charcoal flavour. Potatoes and sides were very tasty too. a haunt of Liverpool football stars if that's your thing .
Macello – WavertreeLovely Greek restaurant..great location now out of town, food excellent and service great but make sure you book...very difficult to just walk in off the street
Eureka – WavertreeMy family called in here for a late lunch on Bank Holiday Monday. Barstaff were great & the food was piping hot & very tasty. Would eat here again.
The Coffee House – WavertreeIf the owners of this pub had any decency, they'd have some consideration for the fact that they are in a neighbourhood surrounded by housing. But no, they will let people sit out screaming, shouting, swearing and arguing until after midnight. Certain other pubs don't even let you sit out past 6pm out of consideration for the neighbours. Too much to ask to maybe close your beer garden (kids football field) at 9pm or 10pm?
The Coffee House – WavertreeWorked at this pub years ago and still go in now and again for a drink. Service standards are atrocioius, staff just not aware of what of people coming in, making them welcome, too busy just gabbing to friends and other staff or looking at mobile phones. Shame, just going down the pan, what's happened to customer service?
The Coffee House – WavertreeReally good, tasty rotisserie chicken. Great roasted vegetables. Super friendly service. Very impressed. Restaurant small, we went at lunch and had no problem getting a seat but it may pay to book in the evening. You can even take your own wine.
Spitroast – WavertreeI have been going the 'Tav' for years. I usually have the excellent full English breakfast, although I have also had the equally excellent evening menu meals. All the food has tasted great and plenty of it. The breakfast meals have free coffee/tea refills and again plenty of it. The atmosphere is of a relaxed nature, and it is a great place to settle down and read the provided newspapers while waiting for, and eating your breakfast. All to a very good soundtrack. A special mention for the staff who are very friendly and happy to help.
Tavern Co – WavertreeEnjoyed a lovely family meal (70th) birthday, on 20th October. Manager and assistant manager, Lynn, ensured that that our needs were catered for, service polite and professional. Refurbishment, amazing. Environment warm. Returning soon.
The Coffee House – WavertreeHaven't been to eat in Spitroast. The shop was our shop - Bracey's Barber Shop, for nearly 50 years, until 2006/7. Interesting this new direction for the venue. We wish it well. The menu sounds very enticing.
Spitroast – WavertreeGreat place! Great food! Such a breath of fresh air to be offered such a simple but tempting menu, we had the best lunch there and willl be back !
Spitroast – Wavertree1st class food with 5 star service, we always go.
Cafe Naz – WavertreeCoffee is so bad, toilets disgusting, no live bands, shut for 3 weeks hope it's better when opens again.
The Coffee House – WavertreeAwful chippy! Got myself chicken cashew nuts on Wednesday night, it's now Saturday and I'm still in agony with my stomach. Well and truly poisoned!! The chicken looked like it came straight out of a packet in the freezer, horrible texture to it and some pieces not even cooked through! Thank god I only had a few mouthfuls because if I would of ate the lot I would of ended up in hospital! To top everything off they didn't even get the rest of my order right!! Avoid this place like the plague!
Georgios II – WavertreeIt was my Birthday and we decided to try the New Peking Duck. My daughter had been there with friends and had raved about how nice the food was. We were not disappointed we arrived and were greeted with a lovely smile and our food order came very quickly and plenty of it. We all ordered different things, Chicken curry, Sweet and Sour Chicken and chicken and cashew nuts in yellow bean sauce. All 3 dishes were amazing. I would give this little restaurant 10/10. Hospitality second to none. :)
New Peking Duck – WavertreeMyself and two brothers travelled up from Norwich and met our cousins for a meal at Cafe Naz. We had a lovely curry and the service was 1st class. My cousin Margaret is very lucky having a restaurant like this on her doorstep.
