Spire – WavertreeGreat food ...... highly recommended
Spire – WavertreeI'd recommend the Siam Garden to anyone who likes Thai food or a bit bored with Chinese. Visited the place a few years ago and have been a regular since. I especially like the spare ribs, tom yam gai and chicken pad ped. Fresh ingredients and expertly flavoured. A great alternative to Chinese. Service is good, atmosphere warm and moorish food. What more do you want? You might not become as big a fan as me but your sure to enjoy a visit. Book ahead! You wont be the only one!
Siam Garden – WavertreeWe had a fantastic night at Spire - great food, lovely staff and really nice atmosphere. I would recommend it to anyone.
Spire – WavertreeNot the best Thai food I've had on Merseyside, but I suppose it's better than the other place in Liverpool that I've tried. The service is great - quick, friendly and polite - but the green curry I had was disappointingly not as authentic as I'd hoped. However, the restaurant has a good ambience, and the other punters there seemed to be having a great time!
Siam Garden – WavertreeMy big sister and her husband back in the early eighty's told me of a place they went at 1 o'clock in the morning for great food. I thought wow a food place that is still open at that time of night!(I was 13) It wasn't till I was older my sis took me there, i thought i knew what a curry was (chippy effort!) until I had chicken Macanwalla!I'll never forget it. I still get to the royal but live near Light of Bengal little sister of the royal, whom I cant fault either. The lads that work in the two restaurants are well nice. Ray the Boss, you Rule.
Royal Tandoori Restaurant – Wavertreefantastic food, great atmosphere.
Frankie and Bennys – WavertreeI arrived in Jalons on the 29th of November, cold winters night, to be greeted with a warm smile and hello by the young longhaired waiter for the evening. My husband and I had a brief chat with the waiter before he informed us that are table will be ready soon and have a drink at the bar, the bar like the restaurant was very busy for a Tuesday evening. We then sat down for are meal, the food was excellent crab claws and king prawns to start, followed by cod, and the fillet steak. My husband asked for the steak "blue?the fillet came and my husband was extremely pleased with the way the chef cooked and presented the meal. Again the young waiter was pleasant praising my husbands choice of how the fillet was cooked the presentation and attention to detail on the plate was very nice.. The music and the wine was now flowing. The waiters and waitress? were all working very hard but always smiling and asking is everything ok, we have been to Jalons last year and had a terrible meal service slow and food awful, but we came on a the advice of a friend who said the food has change and is now very nice. To which we found out last night. Thank you very much to the two male staff who served are food and to the drinks staff for leaving me with a very sore head today and to the kitchen staff nicest meal in a long time see you again. Thanks
Jalons – WavertreeHaving been to Jalons several times, I always fine the food and service amazing. The staff are always lovely, even when they are really busy. The staff behind the bar often have to manage huge orders and washing glasses at the same time. Paul, the resident pianist, is amazing, and if you ever dine there, which I hope you will, request American Pie because he sings it very very well!
Jalons – WavertreeThis is quite simply the best indian restaurant in liverpool. I have been here many, many times and can quite honestly say i have never had a bad meal. The pappadoms and pickles are execellent, chicken madras superb, special pilau rice nice and they also serve draft cobra which is a bit pricey at £2.90 a pint but worth it. It is a bit of a student hangout but dont hold that against it as it caters to everyone. The decor is a bit seventies style but i think this adds to its appeal. Go there and you wont be dissapointed.

Royal Tandoori Restaurant – WavertreeFatty Arbuckle? had good and quick service the food is lovely and the staff are very helpful and kind.
Frankie and Bennys – WavertreeAbsolutely fantastic restaurant, can't fault anything about it! Definitely my favourite place in Liverpool.
Tavern Co – WavertreeThe Siam Garden was my first venture into Thai food and it won't be my last ! As a fan of Indian cuisine I expected the transition to Thai food to be relatively easy, and it was. My partner however does not like highly spiced meals but there are enough choices on the menu for all tastes. The service is attentive, but the relaxed atmosphere stops it from being overbearing. Prices are reasonable and I would advise booking ahead for the weekend as it was extremely busy on the Saturday night that we visited. Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who already likes Thai food, or is looking to try it.
Siam Garden – WavertreeGreat food,good atmosphere,nice staff
Tavern Co – WavertreeAfter a really hard day at work (Tuesday 26/10), my husband and I decided to follow a friend? advice and go to Jalons that night. They had been the Thursday before in a large party and had said the food was lovely, entertainment fantastic, and the service great (by an Australian/New Zealand girl in particular) thankfully they were right about the whole experience. Lovely relaxed decor and the best sweet potato and basil soup I have ever tasted. We nearly had to be rolled out the door we were so full. We would recommend it to anyone, and will.
Jalons – WavertreeThree friends and I dine out every Wednesday and have done so for the last 18mths or so. Having exhausted Manchester and Cheshire we have set our sights on Liverpool Jalons being the second restaurant we have visited. On the night we visited there were three birthday parties which made for a busy atmosphere this may have led to our service being initially abrupt but as the night wore on this got better. The food at Jalons is good and very tasty with a menu with nice choices. The ambience is very good and is a place that would be great for a couple and equally as good for a group of friends. The piano singer was great adding to the atmosphere. We rate the restaurants we visit and overall Jalons managed a score of 8 which is very good. I would recommend a visit.
Jalons – WavertreeDined here last night as a couple. our young waiter with a blonde stripe was very courteous and polite. he waited on us all night and seemed like a really friendly guy. i had pate and lamb and my wife had prawn cocktail and an unimpressive ribeye which was quite fatty. we asked the waiter if there was anything he could do and he sorted out this minor problem. we were entertained by two delightful female singers all night and really enjoyed ourselves. great service and a nice place overall
