Spire – WavertreeHaving eaten here on a few occasions the food is creme-de-la creme,it would be nice if the menu was changed,to see what these guys can really do,Adam as always way ahead as mine-host,keep up the good work guys.
Spire – Wavertreeyou can see why this place has just won Liverpool restaurant of the year!!!! great food ... great value ...
Spire – WavertreeI go to eat out here quite a lot and the food is always excellent. Usually, I have the tea time special, very good value for less than £10. Plenty of choice, on the menu and good quality tasty food.
New Peking Duck – WavertreeThis is an outstanding place to eat. We were in a party of 14 and opted for the lamb and pate off the menu - it was flawless. Often, set meals can be disappointing, but this was certainly NOT the case here! Every mouthful was utterly divine and everyone was raving about the sheer quality of the food on offer. Staff were amazing - the service was exceptional without being obsequious or obtrusive - water / wine / bread constantly offered. Wow. I have been here a couple of times before and been amazed by it on each occasion btw the vicking veg chef looked as tasty as the food
Jalons – Wavertreewas told by many Liverpool friends this is the place to eat,and i can see why, food, wine and service superb,up here for the golf will definitely be back here next year.
Spire – WavertreeSpire in my opinion is far better than the supposed top restaurants, London Carriage Works & 60 Hope Street. Top notch food & service, without the over priced bill.
Spire – WavertreeThis place is amazing i went on a Saturday evening and had to wait for an hour for a table but it was well worth it... we had the burrito and the enchiladas and both were nice big portions and very tasty. They also had table cards out advertising the Sunday breakfast so with hangover we went back the next weekend and had another great time i couldn't believe how busy this place was for a Sunday. will return, gr8 food and gr8 service. Thanks to all at the Tavern!!!
Tavern Co – WavertreeI recently went to the Tavern with my mum and we weren't impressed. The starter were nice we had potato skins and breaded mushrooms but are mains were not. Ihad the steak and my mum had the days special which was only can be described as a steak baguette. The total pice of my steak was 16pounds and it wasn't anythink special. We also found the restaurant rather dark and the music as well as our waitress loud. I am afraid i will not be returning to the Tavern for a meal in future.
Tavern Co – WavertreeA Party of twenty four went to Jalons. What a wonderful night for my 60th Birthday. The food excellent, service 100 percent attentive. Music, very entertaining. Thankyou so much for such a memorable night.Nothing too much trouble for staff. Veronica 19/04/2008
Jalons – Wavertreegreat food, great service, lovely staff,on the whole a very enjoyable evening, see u soon
Spire – WavertreeI used to enjoy Tavern & Co but recently service has been very poor and food is always late, and often cold/incomplete. I can only speak for allerton branch but I would not recommend it.
Tavern Co – Wavertreeup here on business and staying at the hope street hotel, but friends told me if i did not mind a drive out of town city then this is the place to eat,had a superb evening food and one glass of wine was superb. next time I'm up this end i will get a taxi so i can do the wine list some justice it deserves
Spire – Wavertreehad a great evening as spire we only had early evening menu, crispy duck leg was heaven and then i settled for the same old steak and chips as im boring but it was cooked to perfection.apple pie and ice cream to finish then home for a lie down, were stuffed, lovely evening thanks spire x
Spire – Wavertreesuperb all round evening on my door step, spire is a great venue for all occasions, best book though even a rainy tuesday to cheer me up was nearly full,i have a number of favourite restaurants in merseyside and this is one of them...........paul.....allerton
Spire – Wavertreegreat 3 days at the races topped of with a great evening on saturday at spire.....2nd year we have been, see u all next year.
Spire – WavertreeMe and my boyfriend enjoyed a lovely meal on Easter Monday. Would highly recommend this restaurant. The only thing service was a little slow
Siam Garden – WavertreeWe ate in the Tavern last night and it was probably one of the worst meals we have had in a long time. The starters weren't too bad - nachos and chorizo pancake, but the mains were terrible. I ordered the cajun red snapper off the specials and had to return it. It was watery and 'on the turn'. It was certainly worse for wear. My partner had the other special on the menu - a chicken dish which was microwaved to death. Won't be returning...you can sample higher quality cuisine, for a lot less in the area
