Chestfield Barn – WhitstableHave had 3 lovely meals in past month. There is always a warm welcome. The food is delicious, freshly cooked and plentiful..having visited many of the local pubs for a Sunday lunch, can honestly say yours is the best and comparative in price. Well done everyone
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableHad a lovely lunch with 2 friends at the barn on Wednesday, good friendly service, great food. Thanks
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableLovely Sunday roast yesterday great service and generous portions lovely friendly staff first time at chestfield barn but will deffo return
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableVery pleasant and helpful staff. When I visited a couple of months ago you served the steak in a baguette with salad and chips. That was absolutely amazing. When we visited yesterday the steak was served in huge hunks of bread, which I couldn't eat or even hold in my hand, with the salad inside the bread and we paid extra for the chips which we hadn't previously done. I don't mind paying for the chips but please serve the steak in a baguette to make it more managaeable.
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableBank holiday Monday so thought it would be chaotic, but it was reasonably quiet. Lovely atmosphere pleasant and attentive staff. Lovely food and generally a great experience
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableHad sunday lunch very nice good atmosphere and service staff very good
Chestfield Barn – Whitstablevisited here for a staff leaving lunch after a recommendation from a colleague, initial impressions were good. lovely setting and decor. Wasn't very busy during the mid week lunch but there was a longer than expect wait for our lunch. Food was hearty and delish when arrived and we all enjoyed what we had ordered. however we ordered desert off the board but felt some what disappointed.... I had M&M sundae which has about 4 M&M's in it and the rest was ice cream and cream, my friend had bounty and thought it might be more coconut..and mint aero was also disappointing with a few crumbled mint aeros on the top. We felt they could have added a bit more to make them worth the £6.50 cost.
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableWarm welcome on arrival with a smile, choice of table which was nice, ( not saying you were not busy). Menu had great choice to choose from, BUT, two main meals that we ordered was VERY tasty and well presented was far to MUCH food on our plate and had to leave so much which i find wasteful . this is NOT a complaint just over sized . we did enjoy our meal and will come again . was my friends 75th birthday . Atmosphere was great .
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableExcellent! Booked for a Monday lunch and it didn't disappoint! The portions are on the big side so even for a light lunch there was ample and enough to actually think you'd had a big meal! Everything was fresh, cooked well and presented nicely. For what we had it was great value for money. Friendly and courteous staff. Great surroundings. Highly recommend and would definitely go back! Top tip: there is no way to be ladylike when eating the fishfinger sandwich so don't even try!! ;-)
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableLunch with friends. Very relaxed atmosphere and quiet. Some local restaurants are so noisy that you can hardly speak. Food - fair.
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableINCREDIBLE! Food, service, staff, atmosphere! A last minute Google find and we won’t hesitate to return!
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableUsually very good but this time the battered fish was awful and over cooked as was the cajun salmon.
Chestfield Barn – WhitstablePub was very busy on Saturday night so we had to wait for service but it was worth it. Good food , friendly staff and great atmosphere.
Chestfield Barn – Whitstablefantastic meal lovely place and great staff
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableBooked for lunch Easter Monday. The booking in/greeting area is slightly confusing, as half way down the restaurant. Staff very welcoming and sat us down promptly. We ordered drinks and the steak and ale pie with potatoes, veg and gravy. The drinks arrived quickly. When our order arrived, we received our steak and ale pie but had to wait a further 15 Mins for our vegetables! Also, there was insufficient gravy, so we had to order more. As we were waiting for our veg, obviously our pie was getting cold. Kitchen needs to sort timings a lot better. Also a serving spoon would have been helpful for the veg! In all, the food was lovely albeit slightly cold. Waiting staff good.
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableWe had a lovely 2 course meal. The service was very good, the food freshly cooked and tasty. The Seafood platters were amazing.
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableGreat menu choices and delicious food. Service was great too and we had a lovely, relaxed evening. Love the fairy lights and the outside area so look forward to some drinks there another evening.
