Just a really nice place :)
La Giara – WiganWow great value for money and quality food!! Recently new mouth watering dishes have been added on to the menu which I have tried all of them and couldn't fault. Decoration sleek and warming atmosphere with lovely staff been coming here for over 10years. Never a problem with Buraq. FANTASTIC !!!!!!
Buraq – WiganGreat food, good choice, good service. Good choice of wine too xx
The Fat Bull – WiganGreat place food lovely ,staff so nice. Only down fall need more toilets.
Summat To Ate – WiganHello. I have been in the cafe several times, food is excellent, reasonably priced and portion size is very good for a big appetite. Lovely surroundings to eat a full meal or a tasty little snack.
Haigh Courtyard Tea Room and Cafe – WiganBeen to stables cafe Haigh several times during the summer holidays. Good food good service really nice place to visit, they even had bowls and a sink for my dog 10/10.
Haigh Courtyard Tea Room and Cafe – WiganI had heard mixed reviews of this restaurant, so decided to give it a try. However when we arrived the outside looked really disgusting, dirty paint work and in general need of a good clean. I know it is wrong to judge on appearance, but my thought was if they can't look afterthe outside, what is everything else going to be like. We didn't bother going in, we went to the Chinese down the road.
Pasquale’s Italian Restaurant – WiganIt sounds full of potential but it quickly leaves you when you hit the first pothole in the car park. The facilities for children are desperatly in need of updating. The surrounding gardens require a little more compassion. Haigh hall itself looks sadly neglected. The stables cafe serves possibly the most disgusting cup of coffee in England.. Extremely Disappointing.
Haigh Courtyard Tea Room and Cafe – WiganGreat place lovely staff, fantastic food steaks to die for.
Summat To Ate – WiganHad a lovely meal with the grandchildren good friendly service A****
Charnley Arms – WiganI would just like to express my disappointment with my visit to Haigh Hall today. I have a labrador and the cafe was unable to provide a bowl of any kind for me to put water in for my dog to have a drink on such a hot day! Staff were very apologetic and explained that this was the rules. They said it was due to littering?? I do not understand why a dog bowl filled with water can not be put outside? How is this littering? I had to resort to a man giving me the lid to his chips and me walking through the cafe and filling it up in a sink outside! Every place I have visited like this have just had a bowl of water outside, why is it such a problem at haigh hall? Very disappointed and embarrassed about the situation I had to go through!!! I hope this issue will be looked at and resolved, especially when this is a place where dogs are walked day in day out. Please could someone respond to my complaint and give me an explanation or a resolution. Thank you
Haigh Courtyard Tea Room and Cafe – WiganExcellent never had a bad meal, and staff are very friendly and £20 special deal is excellent value never finished it yet.
Buraq – WiganOh my god!!! Fire roaring amazing food, drink, peoplel so nice and great humour, all home made foods, if you ask how things are cooked they know when and where all meats and game came from, how its cooked, even a heater outside for any smokers. Never an attitude if you want to mess with the menu, just go go go!!!!! Best pub I've been in for years!!
Rigbye Arms Country Inn and Bistro – Wigangenerally cheap and cheerful but all the drinks are an absolute rip off. I was charged £1.90 for a glass or orange cordial. One visit I mentioned to the manager the party of ants marching across our table and around the window area. We were told there were no ants (and therefore called liars). Upon asking other members of staff they all said the manager was an idiot and they didn't like him. Not the greatest set up but generally the staff are really friendly and the food is good value.
The Vale – WiganWe heard great reviews but were sorely disappointed, sticky tables, badly needs a refurb, dirty menus, below average food and no atmosphere. We only went once and it was quiet but I assume we picked a bad time and were unlucky as I have heard some good reviews from friends
Prince William Inn – Wigancheap cheerful, pleasant environment (when not full of screaming kids). Excellent value for money, although drinks are expensive - almost as much as a meal.
Bowling Green Inn – WiganI've only eaten here once with a friend since it was taken over from Le Frog. I loved it - great atmosphere, v accommodating staff, the food was spectacular, I would definitely go back (shame there's no real parking or I'd go more often)
Fat Olive – Wiganwe didn't actually eat. My partner and I called in at lunchtime, no one greeted us, we waited at the bar for 10 minutes, in that time no one came to serve us but eight children in various states of undress ran through the bar in that time. We eventually got a drink but it took so long and the staff really couldn't be bothered with us we never ended up getting any food. Place was crawling with kids and the owners/ staff clearly were utilising the entire place and a large sitting room for themselves, we were treated pretty badly! Shame as I'd heard the food was ok.
