Good local pub with quality cask ales. Watched the rugby here the other day and had a nice afternoon at the Delph Tavern.
Delph Tavern – WiganWe go to the Hungry Horse quite a lot as you cant get value for money anywhere else like you get here. The food quality is superb always very generous portions and very pleasant staff. You really need to try different things off the menu as you will then have so many favorites to choose from. keep up the good work.
The Mount Orrell – WiganBeen here too many times. But my special day was when we had my daughters 1st Holy Communion upstairs. The food the service and price was excellent. Howard and his staff could not have given us better service and did everything to make my little girls day special. And to serve a party if 30 at the same time is a credit to the chef. Spot on
Gallimores – WiganWe had a family meal to celebrate a special occasion on Thursday evening (August 20th). There were 17 of us from various parts of the country tucking into the wonderful suckling pig meal. The food was fantastic & everybody in the party commented on the quality, taste & presentation of the meal. The staff were very attentive & friendly and the whole atmosphere was brilliant. Add to that the selection of their own beers & good quality wine ensured a complete gastronomic experience. We would highly recommend a visit to the Wayfarer.
Wayfarer Restaurant – WiganOur family have used many facilities at Haigh Hall for over 40 years. We even had our wedding reception there. It has been superb with the exception of the cafe. The food is expensive for what you get. I walk for miles with the dog and stop there to 'refuel' and buy the very average coffee and sausage on a barmcake. There is no shelter provided for dog owners with their best friend. I have sat on a wet bench outside on many occasions and the cafe was empty. I feel like a second rate citizen and don't go there now like I used to.
Haigh Courtyard Tea Room and Cafe – WiganDegrading!!!!!!!
Wrightington Hotel and Country Club – WiganLove this place. Good food at great value. Can get very busy at the weekends!
The Mount Orrell – WiganHad a great meal on Father's Day for my husband. Great hot rock steak. Lovely staff and great venue.
Summat To Ate – WiganFantastic no complaints. Cannot fault the place.
The Fat Bull – WiganWe wanted to like this place but after awful service, below average service and aggressive management we won't be returning. We also put a very fair review on trip advisor outlining the details of what would have made our visit more pleasant but the manager replied with an absolutely scathing, (and fabricated) response. Clearly they don't want any constructive comments and think it's ok to leave people all evening with no drinks and no food.
The Fat Bull – WiganHad another wonderful lunch at Gallimores a birthday celebration that we all enjoyed. Wonderful food, staff who go the extra mile to make it extra special. Mary had the best birthday ever, thank you
Gallimores – WiganAbsolutely terrible - the place was half full and we waited nearly an hour for service which was dire to say the least and I had food poisoning the day after - will never be going there again!!!
Cinnamon Indian Cuisine – WiganGallimores a quick lunch a leisurely romantic meal or a hectic lively family party. Gallimores makes your visit extra special. Fantastic food, wonderful staff, great owner. Cannot wait till my next visit. Jill
Gallimores – WiganWarm welcome as soon as we stepped through the door, nothing too much trouble for the staff. There was 6 family members and we all had exceptional food, will be going again soon.
K’s Bar & Restaurant – WiganExcellent food backed up by friendly, helpful service. We had a wonderful evening in the Il Viandante section of the restaurant. Highly recommended.
Wayfarer Restaurant – WiganFood was ok but was very disappointed in Simon he was very aggressive.
High Moor Restaurant – WiganLovely food with excellent service, fantastic pirate ship for children coupled with superb entertainment for the children throughout the day. Would recommend to anybody. Mary.
Toby Tavern Bar & Grill – WiganFood excellent, bar staff excellent, staff couldn't be more helpful, 10/10
