The waiters are all spoiled French brats, who hardly ever lift a finger. I am disgusted by their behavior. The waiter who served my table called my wife a whore, when she tried to attract her attention.

Rigalettos – Wiganfood arrived cold, when i was brave and asked mine to be sent back it was returned with a bit mark in, my my i hope that was mine! upon leaving the manager seemed shocked that i thought it was unacceptable to have to send your food back before i enjoyed my meal, so if u don't mind the wait and like to look at, pick at and sample your food before u get to wait for it after yet another wait then please frequent here, oh did i mention the cost for what u get, hmm go across to the red robin and you'll get better food for two for the same cost as one meal at f and b's
Frankie and Bennys – Wiganthis restaurant claims to be one of the best around, but i would say the food is bland, over cooked and poor quality and the wine...the white is warm, cheap plonk, beware the only thing tempting here is the set menu price but keep driving u'll come to better just down the road!
Beeches Restaurant and Hotel – WiganThe food was delivered very quickly and tasted very fresh. I was later to be told all food is fresh and delivered daily and prepared on site. My sons food looked just as good and is also good to no he wasn't being filled with "rubbish" and unhealthy additives other brands are known for, and has not been micro-waved to the extremes.
Wiggin Tree – WiganLovely country pub which serves very good food, there is so much to choose from it's very hard to decide what to have. I have always been impressed by the Rigbye.
Rigbye Arms Country Inn and Bistro – WiganOK if you cheap meal but the service is poor (mainly 16 year old's waiting), food is ok but by no means outstanding. Wouldn't go again.
Beeches Restaurant and Hotel – WiganHad a meal there Saturday 29 September. Only complaint is that of service. The meal took over 40 minutes from being order to be served. And it wasn't a particular busy night. The quality of the meal was very good. The decor excellent. But it did spoil the experience.
Wiggin Tree – WiganI have written a previous report on this establishment, so I feel have have some sort of right to have this report published. My wife and I were deeply disappointed in our last visit to the High Moor. The wait, between first and main course, was close to an hour which is totally unacceptable. When the main did arrive, my choice, the rack of lamb, was so over-cooked it was verging on burnt. The lady Maitre De asked us at the end of the meal if we had enjoyed it and in unison we both said no! This venue we use for our wedding anniversary and this was our 23rd. We have been visiting the High Moor for many of those 23 and have also brought, and recommended, the High Moor to friends and family. Unless they get their act together, Simon!! then it will be a long time before we revisit. I asked the Maitre De if the usual chef, Norman, was working that night, and was told he was. Norman, your standards are slipping! I am quite happy to put my e-mail address here for a retort or questions about this, once fabulous, eatery. Come On Simon!! Even the menu was poor!
High Moor Restaurant – WiganBeen to Cinnamon on numerous occasions and the food is always excellent (better since changing hands!) Courteous staff, quick service and never feel rushed. Would definitely recommend.
Cinnamon Indian Cuisine – WiganWe didn't actually get to eat at this place. We booked a table fancying somewhere new but the awful impolite unfriendly attitude we got from this guy (he couldn't understand us and wouldn't even look or speak to me but kept addressing my hubby) made us leave before we'd even ordered, so I wouldn't recommend this place at all. Went instead to Malanchoo's in Newton and had a fantastic meal, so fresh out of oven Nan bread was too hot to handle!!
Lal Quilla Restaurant – WiganThis restaurant has consistently improved over the years we have lived in Standish, a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere, the quality of the food set against the prices is excellent.
Taste Of Bengal The – Wiganthe food was delish!
Wayfarer Restaurant – WiganThis is without doubt the worst restaurant in Wigan. The Staff are a bunch of ignorant French children, who probably didn't even come to the country legally. They are lazy, stuffily dressed, and throw tantrums whenever they were called over. I complained to the manager, and he just laughed. I had never felt so disgusted in all my life. The food was good, but the waiters ruined the evening, with their childish resentment of having to actually work.
Rigalettos – WiganRigalettos is the poshest, most classy restaurant I have been to. The food was sensational. Well done Mr Whelan. (Dave).
Rigalettos – WiganThe Cinnamon has had a trendy makeover. its now modern and bright. I had a great dish from the house specials, the Chicken Mansoor. Similar to a Jalfrezi but tastier. go and give it a try!
Cinnamon Indian Cuisine – WiganThere are two Italian restaurants in Standish and both opened at about the same time. If you want an Italian meal prepared by Italian chefs in a wonderful atmosphere, go to the Olive Garden and not the other one. I've been several times to the Olive Garden and a couple of times to the other place - Olive Garden's pizza and garlic bread are absolutely delicious and cannot be beaten.
Olive Garden – WiganWe visited for the 2 course Sunday lunch (£8.95 for two courses). The food was great and the service attentive but unobtrusive. Will definitively be having the Sunday lunch again in the near future.
Gallimores – WiganWe have always had a meal that was enjoyed by all the family. Now want to book online for Christmas lunch. Anyone know their Email address/Web page?
