Rigalettos is the poshest, most classy restaurant I have been to. The food was sensational. Well done Mr Whelan. (Dave).

Rigalettos – WiganThe Cinnamon has had a trendy makeover. its now modern and bright. I had a great dish from the house specials, the Chicken Mansoor. Similar to a Jalfrezi but tastier. go and give it a try!
Cinnamon Indian Cuisine – WiganThere are two Italian restaurants in Standish and both opened at about the same time. If you want an Italian meal prepared by Italian chefs in a wonderful atmosphere, go to the Olive Garden and not the other one. I've been several times to the Olive Garden and a couple of times to the other place - Olive Garden's pizza and garlic bread are absolutely delicious and cannot be beaten.
Olive Garden – WiganWe visited for the 2 course Sunday lunch (£8.95 for two courses). The food was great and the service attentive but unobtrusive. Will definitively be having the Sunday lunch again in the near future.
Gallimores – WiganWe have always had a meal that was enjoyed by all the family. Now want to book online for Christmas lunch. Anyone know their Email address/Web page?
The Owls At Standish – WiganThe chef is fantastic
Rigalettos – WiganI can't believe Derek thinks that there is plenty choice for vegetarians. The choice for vegetarians when I went this month was Tuscan Tart (on the permanent menu) or vegetable curry (on the June menu). Two choices is not "plenty". There are always only two choices. Unless of course you count a plate of vegetables. We went last week, and didn't fancy the tart or the curry, so opted for just vegetables - but they tried to charge us more than if we'd had a steak with them! Instead of charging us the set price of around £6.99 for a starter, main course and sweet, they thought it appropriate to charge us separately for our starters, vegetables and sweets which came to more than if we were charged for a steak off the set menu. The Owls is cheap and cheerfully great for carnivores, but don't try to send vegetarians there!
The Owls At Standish – WiganWe've been here twice since it opened and have to say it makes a nice alternative to the other Italian restaurants in the area. Food is great, service is very good from the owner, relaxing ambience. I can only say keep it up cos this place has massive potential!
Olive Garden – WiganWent for the first time June 07. It's great to have such a nice restaurant in the centre of Wigan. Food, service and surroundings are excellent. will definitely be going again.
Gallimores – WiganWe had our wedding lunch at this beautiful little place which has lovely views. On our special day, Simon and David worked extremely hard to accommodate all our wishes and our family and friends had a marvellous day. The food was wonderful as were the wines and champagne. Whether we have something special to celebrate, we always go there.
High Moor Restaurant – WiganGreat place to take the family for a very reasonable priced meal. You do not have to wait long for your meal and the mexican lamb is delicious! The staff are pleasant too. Would definitely recommend it to families for a meal.
The Owls At Standish – WiganWe visited the High Moor in Wrightington for my birthday and both loved it. It is full of character with beamed low ceilings but also feels very cosy and romantic with lovely views across countryside. The meal was really lovely I had the lamb rump and my husband had the pork belly. Both delicious and the sticky toffee pudding is lovely! We would recommend a visit.
High Moor Restaurant – WiganThis was our second visit. Booked a table for 2 for 9:00 pm Saturday night. Despite being mega busy with several large groups in, we were shown to our table exactly on time. Starters were Minestrone and Plain Garlic Bread. Mains were Pizza Marinara and Baked Seabass in Light Pesto. Drinks were 2 halfs Poretti Premium. I bottle Merlot, decanted for us. Service and food were very good considering how busy it was. The bill came to £52.40 which was ok. This place has a quality feel to it, with high backed glossy leather chairs, solid wooden tables without cloths, nice floor tiling, subtle lighting and pleasant decor.
Olive Garden – WiganI Love Bar Qaua and everyone that goes in there. PROS- brill music, excellent staff, friendly faces, wide variety of drinks and shots. CONS- toilets upstairs.
Bar Aqua – WiganA great take away and restaurant. Staff are friendly and the service is great. Every meal I have had, both take aways and in the restaurant, has always been excellent. I would definitely recommend the Buraq to anyone
Buraq – WiganTypical place to take your Mum on either her birthday or Mothers Day. First Class service and very reasonable. Just wish they'd lay on the home-made leek soup more often as it is to die for. Exceptionally very friendly staff who never keep you waiting for more than five minutes - apart from queuing at the bar for drinks. But you get used to the Owls eventually. Decent food at decent prices. Highly recommended. The Owls is that extra pillow on a Sunday that gets you out of bed... this from a poor eater!
The Owls At Standish – WiganFantastic little find in Leigh - friendly atmosphere, hearty food and it always feels like we are coming home to a warm welcome when we go there.
Bella Cafe Bistro – WiganCannot fault it perfect all round
