Chilli Banana – WilmslowWe dined there last Saturday, spur of the moment, nice evening. Had lovely, lovely meals and were delighted to have a small dessert with coffee for £4.50. What a good idea. A very pleasant experience. Staff delightful, we will return soon. Bill for two (without drinks of course) was £27.50 - remarkable!
Honey Bee – WilmslowExcellent quality and service.
Hoopers Restaurant – WilmslowVery impressed with the food, staff and atmosphere .Decided on the spur of the moment to try it yesterday and we were so impressed that we will be back.
Petit Delice – WilmslowThis shop holds the Fish and Chip Quality Award from the National Federation of Fish Friers, an independent body who has assessed the shop for hygiene and cleanliness, food preparation practices, quality of product and customer service. You can be confident of the quality of the fish and chips at this shop.
Jacksons Supper Bar – Wilmslowlovely restaraurant, Staff are very helpfull, the food is great, if you like hot or cold meals there is plenty of choices, the home maid cakes are yum.
Hoopers Restaurant – Wilmslowabsolute brilliance the stolen lamb is. a credit to cheshire!!!!
Stolen Lamb – Wilmslowthe food served was over cooked and dry and tasteless. the main door was kept open all the time we were there on a cold day. when i closed the door a member of staff had the door open again before i got back to my seat. i won't be going there again.
Wilmslow Tavern – WilmslowAPPAULING - Carvery booked at least 6 wks in advance then had to wait 30 minutes for table no apology given staff abrupt and stressed out. Starters was good, however given the choice of chicken/beef gammon for mains we choose chicken only to be told later that there was no chicken. After a long wait had to ask staff for Main course - veg was barely cooked, Yorkshire pud burnt beef inedible, complained to waiter who gave the response "oh", couldn't waste any more time there so we walked - do yourself a favour and avoid!
Wilmslow Tavern – WilmslowWe haven't visited Chilli Banana for some time but my husband wanted a special treat for his birthday and has chosen Chilli Banana even though it is quite a distance to travel. I think that says it all for the food and service - always found it lovely and not too busy if you go early. Just spoilt for choice now between Macclesfield and Wilmslow
Chilli Banana – Wilmslowthe other day, me and my family visited the stolen lamb, the food was to die for the service was one of the best i have ever experienced. The head chef was polite and gave his own twist of the Greek menu. Once the kleftico arrived on the table i got instant flash backs of Cyprus. Its about time the Cypriot cuisine gets placed on the map. I strongly believe that the young chef ( George has the skills and quality to do that)
Stolen Lamb – WilmslowWe eat out as a family very often, quite often for Chinese food. This was an absolutely awful place to eat. I used to go often over 5 maybe 10 years ago and always considered it a good restaurant and still hear and read about how good it is. Obviously people who like this food do not travel very far or try other places. We went on a Friday night arriving at 7pm, we were rushed to our table and asked what drinks we want before getting to sit down. When the drinks arrived the waitress passed the drinks out from one corner of the table, reaching across our faces and interrupting our conversation, a minor point maybe but it was a sign of things to come - poor training - especially at these prices. We ordered our food but the waiter was in a great hurry to get on with something else? The starters arrived very quickly, the waitress seemed unable to place the food on the table and we were forced to move everything and help with the dishes. The food itself was very bland with one of the starters only having 1 slice of chilli for the entire dish, nachos at the cinema have more kick. All of the food was very greasy, that was the first £25 wasted More shoddy service later and the mains arrived and I have to say I was amazed , I didn't think they could have less flavour and more grease than the starters but somehow they managed to do it - perhaps this is a culinary skill I am unaware of. I can honestly produce better food at home. By this time, 45 minutes in, I was ready to leave, luckily for us I think they wanted to try and get 3 sittings done and see how quickly a table could be processed so we were all singing from the same hymn sheet on that one. 4 starters, 3 mains, 4 drinks, 50 minutes, 70 pounds later and we had escaped. Thankfully there is a Tesco's across the way and I could obtain chewing gum and chocolate to get rid of the greasy feeling in my mouth. I can name so many better places to eat, even a fast food place like Wagamama has tastier better value food. Don't go, don't believe what anyone else tells you.
Handforth Cantonese Restaurant – WilmslowHad a super salmon salad lunch last week and both myself and friend really recommend good service and excellent food !
The Seed House @ Ned Yates Garden Centre – WilmslowWe visited the Chilli Banana soon after returning from a holiday in The restaurant was almost fully booked so the service was a little slow but the most disappointing aspect of the visit was the un-authenticity and quality of the food, Our tempura starters were quite heavily battered, more chippy style than the crisp clean texture we'd hoped for, The seafood tempura contained only 2 pieces of seafood and the remainder consisted of vegetables, Since we'd also ordered a vegetable tempura to share it was really a case of vege-overload. A main couse of Geang Ped ( Thai Red Curry) anf fragrant rice was much more acceptable but the Pad Thai Gung, a dish of supposedly stir fried noodles with prawns was a mish-mash of noodles, rice, too much oil and too few- (just 4)-prawns. As already mentioned the restaurant was almost fully booked so it obviously has it's fans, none of whom iI'm guessing have tasted authentc Thai Cuisine. On the positive side the staff were courteous and the atmosphere was busy and welcoming but the most important aspect of a restaurant that will lure you back time and time again is great food, and sadly, here, there was none,
Chilli Banana – WilmslowYour staff can be bad mannered and don't say please and thank-you which is a great shame, as the shop and cafe are lovely.
