Welcome back Maxis we really missed you. We visited on Sunday afternoon 16/8/20 and were very impressed with the social distancing and hygiene procedures in place. The staff all wore masks and we felt very comfortable. And, of course, the food was great!!
Maxis – YorkWe visited Maxis York on 16/8/20. We ordered as usual Dim Sum which was outstanding as always. Our temperatures were checked on the way in. All social distancing rules were adhered to. The staff were great and all wore masks. We definitely be returning again very soon. Thank you Maxis for re-opening we really missed you!

Maxis – YorkAlthough the food was first class & staff pleasant the service between starters & main course was very poor it took over an hour and we had to ask. Others were coming in after us & leaving before we got our main course which kind of spoilt the meal.

Maxis – YorkEasy Booking system and made the most of the eat out to help out scheme. Great atmosphere with friendly, welcoming staff. The food is amazing with great size portions. We felt at ease and comfortable as the tables are well distanced and a one in one out system for the toilets works well.

Maxis – YorkWe were a party of four who had a 3 course meal early evening . The service was attentive but not pushy or trying to rush us . The 4 of has enjoyed every course of our meals , which included different dishes , so we had a wide choice to review from ! We were all more than happy with our choices and would have ordered the same dishes again if we given the choice ! (The crispy pork starter was to die for !!) Given the present situation with covid , i felt very safe and i think they have done everything possible to make it comfortable and safe !

Maxis – YorkIt was so great to be back at Maxis, York on August 8th. COVID-19 precautions were all in place - temperature and track and trace details taken, plenty of space between diners and all staff wearing PPE. Our meal was delicious as usual and staff as friendly as ever. Well worth the drive from Leeds. See you again soon Maxis.

Maxis – YorkFood good as usual, staff were following COVID-19 guidance and all wearing masks. Waiting staff often unfriendly but efficient. The hostess was wearing a Chinese dress that’s very short. When she leaned over to assist the next table, I could nearly see her pants. I would have thought the food is nice enough they shouldn’t resort to objectifying young women in this way??
Maxis – YorkEfficient booking system, chose this restaurant for interesting vegan menu! Excellent food, very good portions, flexible with menu options as wanted to change one of the mains from vegan menu to a vegetarian main from normal set menu! Mains were served nice and hot! Very good service , friendly and efficient. Good ambience , tasteful decor in a converted old building . Very good value and highly recommend this restaurant especially if you are vegan/ vegetarian!
31 Castlegate Restaurant – YorkWe had missed Maxis so much due to the present Covid situation. However we returned on August 7 th, after booking online. It is all very well organised, temperature taken on entry, staff all very pleasant and helpful. Tables all spaced out. Staff all wearing masks. We felt very comfortable and at ease. The food was as we expected, delicious, so to those people out there that are nervous about venturing out for the first time, go for a meal at Maxis Nether Poppelton, York. Also, Track and Trace is in place. Good luck Maxis, see you again soon.
Maxis – YorkWent for a birthday meal. I’ve only been to the Leeds restaurant so the first time here. Food is still good as ever like the last time I got it. Service was a little slow but nothing major. Be coming back soon
