The service was great. We enjoyed two for one cocktails which were available before 7pm or would have been too expensive. There was so much to choose from and all seemed freshly cooked. Our table was cleared often which is rare in some places. Only negative was that it wasn’t explained that there was a service charge of 3% added. It should have been made clear that it was optional as there was already a tip jar on the counter that we left money in

What a superb night we had here , food was excellent in quality quality and choice. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful..we're looking forward to our next visit to York and eating in here.

We visited panda Mami for a second time this weekend & it was just as amazing as the first time. I want to give the staff a lot of praise & credit we had 2 people in our group with severe allergies & the staff are very vigilant that all the utensils were kept where they were meant to be my mum who has a peanut allergy & dislikes eating out feels completely comfortable here and that is priceless. It has a great relaxed atmosphere the flow is great you don’t feel over crowded or rushed, their is food for everybody fantastic choices no body left hungry. It’s a fantastic place to take families and I think quite reasonably priced considering the choices and people can go back as many times as they liked. Once again the staff are absolutely amazing so kind, polite and really helpful & they’re fantastic with kids.

Great service , good authentic Chinese food , lovely leisurely lunch.

We had a great lunch with plenty of options to choose from which I was surprised by as it had just opened. The service was great with drinks brought in a timely fashion and friendly manner throughout. This was my son's first trip to a buffet restaurant and he enjoyed all the food on offer. He managed 3 plates of food and a dessert plate and since he was under 140cm his food was half price. We would definitely recommend and will visit again.

Lovely food, hot and tasty. We came for my daughter’s 15th birthday last night. We spoke to the person behind the counter, the manager I presume and asked if he could bring a dessert with a candle in it to celebrate her birth ay but he never appeared and wasn’t there when we left. Didn’t think we were asking too much? Just feel it was a bit expensive for a couple of plates of food as we payed £170 for 6 of us including drinks, not sure we will return.

I came for my nephews 21st birthday and I won’t be coming back the food was very disappointing it was all Luke warm everyone of us wasn’t happy I told the waiter and he didn’t seem bothered what a waste of money and the restaurant wasn’t really busy so they was no excuse why the food wasn’t hot

Family of 4 for lunch and all loved it. Food was great and the kids could go up and down freely. Which was nice. Friendly service too.

Food was delicious, great customer service. The only thing I didn’t like dirty windows specially when you sit next to the window for the view. I tried to take a few pictures but the windows were so much dirty literally it’s impossible to see the river through them.

We attended as a family of 6 for a birthday celebration and had a fantastic time. We ordered several different dishes and sides and it was all beautifully cooked and presented. The best Chinese food we’ve eaten in York for sure. We will definitely be back. Thank you Maxis!

Perfect as ever. Maxies is still my number one restaurant in York. They made my mums birthday by singing to her too.

Been a few times and never been disappointed with the place always happy with the food and the quality for that price

Table service is all right. The sushi selection is poor. They don't refill the food containers on time, we had to complain few times because of the missing food. It's hard to find people who work at live cooking stations.

The lunch menu is such good value and the food was absolutely gorgeous! All the staff were very attentive and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Can’t wait to visit again

Good food that was fresh and tasty . Clean restaurant, staff are very friendly and attentive . Good value for money and enjoyed it very much . The duck pancakes and sweet and sour chicken is so tasty
